Accessing the Gift Cards Module

Navigate to the Booknetic Plugin
- Log in to your WordPress Admin Panel and click on Booknetic in the sidebar.

Select the Gift Cards tab to open the gift cards interface.

Creating a New Gift Card

Add a New Gift Card
- Click the "Create Giftcard" button.

Configure Gift Card Details

Code: Enter a unique code for the gift card. This code will be provided to the customer for redemption during booking.
Amount: Specify the monetary value of the gift card. This amount will be deducted from the gift card balance when used for appointments.
Location Filter: Assign the gift card to specific locations. If selected, the gift card will only be valid for services at the chosen location(s).
Services Filter: Assign the gift card to specific services. If selected, the gift card will only be applicable to the chosen service(s).
Staff Filter: Assign the gift card to specific staff members. If selected, the gift card will only be valid for services provided by the chosen staff member(s).
Save the Gift Card
- After entering all details, click the "Save" button to create the gift card.

Issuing and Redeeming Gift Cards

Issuing the Gift Card: Provide the generated gift card code to the intended customer. This can be done via email, printed voucher, or any preferred communication method.
Enabling giftcard as a payment option: Go to Settings > Payment settings > Payment methods and then enable the “Giftcard” as a payment option, and lastly, click on the “Save Changes” button on the top right side of the screen.

Redeeming the Gift Card:
- During the booking process, the customer enters the gift card code in the designated field.
- The system validates the code and deducts the appointment fee from the gift card balance.
- If the gift card balance covers the full amount, no additional payment is required. Otherwise, the remaining balance can be paid using other available payment methods.

Managing Existing Gift Cards

Editing a Gift Card:
- In the gift cards list, click the options icon (three dots) next to the desired gift card.

Select "Edit" to modify the gift card details.

After making changes, click "Save" to update the gift card information.

Deleting a Gift Card:
- Click the options icon next to the gift card you wish to remove.

Select "Delete" and confirm the action.

For bulk deletion, select multiple gift cards using the checkboxes and click the "Delete" button at the bottom.

Viewing Usage History:

To monitor how gift cards are utilized, click on the log icon in the list.

A detailed usage history will be displayed, showing which customers have used the gift card and for which appointments.

After that, if you click on the log icon on the right side of a usage, it will open the information panel about that appointment, which you can also edit and delete.

Keep in Mind

Gift Cards Cannot Be Sold Directly on Booknetic: At the moment, the Gift Cards feature in Booknetic does not support the direct sale of gift cards through the system. You will need to use external platforms or manual processes to sell the gift cards.
Gift Cards Work as a Payment Method: Gift cards can be used as a payment method when customers book an appointment. The value of the gift card will be applied toward the cost of the appointment.
Sufficient Balance Required for Use: Gift cards can only be used if there is enough balance on the card to cover the appointment cost. If the balance is insufficient, the card cannot be used for payment.

By effectively utilizing the Gift Cards Module, businesses can offer flexible payment options, attract new clients, and provide existing customers with convenient gifting solutions, thereby enhancing the overall booking experience.
