Onboarding is the first experience new tenants have with your SaaS, and it sets the tone for their journey. With Booknetic SaaS, the Registration Form Builder gives you the power to fully customize tenant sign-ups by collecting the exact data you need.

This feature works through the Tenant Custom Fields module in the SaaS Admin Dashboard, allowing you to design, manage, and update the fields tenants must complete during registration. These fields appear in the second stage of registration (after tenants confirm their email via the confirmation link), ensuring a smooth, low-friction sign-up process.

  • Tailored Onboarding – Different SaaS platforms need different data. A fitness SaaS might only need “Business Name” and “Category,” while a healthcare SaaS might require licenses and compliance documents.

How It Works

Step 1 – Create Custom Fields

  • Go to SaaS Admin → Tenant Custom Fields.

  • Drag and drop from the Elements Panel to the form builder.

  • Customize each field in the Options Panel.

Step 2 – Fields Appear in Registration Flow

  • When tenants sign up, they first enter basic details (name, email, password).

  • They receive a confirmation email with a link.

  • After confirming, they are redirected to the second stage — your custom form.

Step 3 – Store and Manage Data

  • Submitted information is saved directly to the tenant’s profile.

  • SaaS admins can view it anytime in the Tenant Management section.

Available Field Types

You can mix and match multiple field types to create the perfect registration form:

  • Label – Add titles, instructions, or separators between sections.

  • Text Input – Collect short responses like “Business Name” or “Industry.”

  • Textarea – Gather longer answers such as company descriptions.

  • Number Input – Restrict input to numbers (e.g., employee count, years in business).

  • Date Input – Useful for fields like “Business Founded On.”

  • Time Input – Capture times if relevant to your SaaS (e.g., “Preferred Onboarding Call Time”).

  • Select (Dropdown) – Offer predefined choices like “Business Category.”

  • Checkbox – Let tenants select multiple options.

  • Radio Buttons – Force a single choice (e.g., “Yes/No” questions).

  • File Upload – Collect files such as licenses, ID scans, or company logos.

  • Link – Request tenant websites, portfolios, or external resources.

Field Customization Options

Every field can be fine-tuned with powerful settings:

  • Label – The question or instruction visible to tenants.

  • Placeholder – Example text inside the field (up to 200 characters).

  • Input Limits – Define min/max length to control responses.

  • Help Text – Add clarifying notes or instructions (up to 500 characters).

  • Required Toggle – Mark fields as mandatory or optional.

  • Marketing SaaS – Collect company website, number of employees, and preferred communication channel.

  • Healthcare SaaS – Require business license upload, business category selection, and compliance agreement checkbox.

  • Education SaaS – Gather institution name, number of enrolled students, and preferred contact time.
