Booknetic SaaS makes it easy for tenants to manage how they pay for their subscriptions. With the Tenant Balance Management feature, tenants can deposit funds into their account balance and then use that balance to pay for subscription plans.
Deposits are processed through WooCommerce, giving you access to any payment gateway WooCommerce supports, including local or regional providers that may not be available in Stripe or PayPal. This makes it an ideal option for SaaS platforms operating in countries where global gateways are limited.
How It Works
WooCommerce Integration
SaaS owners enable WooCommerce under Settings → Payment Settings → Payment Methods → WooCommerce.
You can choose whether tenants are redirected to the Cart page or the Checkout page during deposits.
Adding a Deposit
Tenants log in to their Billing section and click Add Deposit.
They select a plan or deposit amount and are redirected to the WooCommerce checkout.
Using any active WooCommerce gateway — global or local — they complete the payment.
The funds are instantly added to their tenant balance.
Paying with Balance
When purchasing or renewing a subscription, tenants see three options:
Credit Card
PayPal
Balance
If they have enough funds deposited, they can choose Balance to pay directly from their account.
Benefits
Works Beyond Stripe & PayPal – Perfect for SaaS platforms operating in regions where Stripe or PayPal are unavailable. Tenants can still subscribe using custom or local gateways supported by WooCommerce.
Flexible Payment Options – Tenants decide whether to pay directly via gateways or pre-fund their balance.
Gateway Freedom – WooCommerce offers hundreds of payment integrations, from global providers to regional banks and wallets.
Improved Cash Flow – Encourage tenants to prepay multiple months by depositing larger balances.
Example Use Cases
A SaaS platform in Turkey integrates local bank transfer gateways via WooCommerce. Tenants deposit funds through their bank and pay subscriptions using their balance.
A regional SaaS in Asia uses WooCommerce’s local wallet integrations to allow tenants to prepay and then subscribe without PayPal or Stripe.
An education SaaS encourages institutions to deposit larger funds upfront, simplifying monthly renewals with one-click “Balance” payments.
Why It Matters
Not every SaaS can rely solely on Stripe or PayPal. In many regions, tenants prefer — or are required — to use local or regional payment providers. With Tenant Balance Management, you can offer a professional, flexible billing alternative that makes your platform accessible anywhere in the world.
